Well, it is entirely upto the IT in your company to take control of that. In case you are one of the IT persons, it would be best to have backup solutions to consider.
IBM backup is a good place to start.
Although Storage Array have redundancy ,but the storage array have the probability to fail several disks that just lead to the storage's data loss.
Since your storage disks do/MUST have RAID configured, failure to disks might be tolerated till 2 disks failure. IF and ONLY IFF multiple disks fail at the same time, then you might want to look at your support contract with the storage vendor.
