License Question 4.x to 5.x

maybe this is a stupid questions, but I'm not VMware expert.

Customer have Valid and active maintenance i believe for ESXi vSphere 4 Ent. License.

Current all Phisical Server are installed with 4.1.0.

Now he want to use NetApp OnTapp EDGE, however this product required/run only on VMware 5.0.x and above.

This is my question:

is correct v5.x use same License as for 4.x ?

with other word, is v4.x License valid for v5.x ?
