Host Connection Failure: VMs, Datastores Inaccessible (greyed Out)

Hello Everybody,

I have 1 ESXi 5.1 host which is throwing Alarm: Host Connection Failure. Al SNMP Trap for entity was sent.

I have 10 ESXi 5.1 servers all amanged by 1 VCenter 5.1 server.

8 ESXi Servers are a part of HA cluster and 2 are not in any cluster.

The issue i am facing is with 1 ESXi host which is outside the cluster.

The VMs on this host are powered OFF. I am not able to power them ON. I am not able to Vmotion them. However If I remove them from inventory and add them to inventory on another running host, VM runs fine.

The shared datastores on this host are showing Greyed out as well except the local datastore (VMFS). I have 1 VM on local disk of this host and I can power it ON fine. But all other VMs are on shared Datastore (NFS - Netapp) and I cannot power them ON on this 1 particular host.

Same datastores (NFS - Netapp) are shared with 9 other ESXi hosts (Clustered and non-clustered hosts) and Datastore is fine and detected by all hosts.

I tried rebooting the host many times but no success.

Can anybody please share their expert advise on how to resolve this issue?

PLease check the attachment for details of esxi host not responding.

Thanks,

AG.
