If you've already read that then why have you not done as suggested and contacted Microsoft using the information in the "How to activate Windows XP by phone" section of that KB Article!? Frankly, it's absolutely ridiculous that you haven't done so yet! I've had to do it a few times in the past and it was a quick as relatively easy process and took far less time, energy and effort then this has! If it's a legitimate version of Windows the process it automated and takes little more then a few minutes. So why are you so reluctant to call Microsoft and get this straightened out once and for all?
