vSphere Client 5.1.0 - No plug-ins in "Plug-in Manager"

Hello

I'm new to vmware (and fairly inexperienced with linux), so please bare with me.

After having the purple screen of death, while trying to passthrough an Adaptec Raid controller to a VM, I figured there was a patch to fix this problem.

Now since my second installation of Update manager (and all the prerequisites) I give up. Google for once did not do me any good on this problem, and I guess I deserved that from all the abuse over the years.

Everything except my SQL 2008 R2 server is installed on the same VM of the host I'm trying to patch. Every 'test' throughout all the installations of SSO/IS/Server/VUM passes, except nslookups. Manual nslookups are working fine. O/S is a Windows Server 2008 R2.

I don't see any obvious errors in the eventlogs, but I might not know what to look for. Everything seems to be working fine.

Can someone explain to me, or help me narrow down why the Plug-in Manager is empty in vSphere Client?

Best regards

aeble
