i'm having the very same issue on opensuse 12.2 host with windows 7 guest - i'm connected to internet via wifi and my ethernet connection is off.
how do i resolve this? i cant connect to any ethernet connection simply because i have no ethernet routers nearby. "ifconfig eth0 1.2.3.4 up" havent helped.
