When I try to Power On a vm on an ESXI host on Dell Precision T5400 Workstation, I recieve an error message "Host CPU is incompatible with the virtual machines requirements at CPUID level 0x8000000 1 register edx"
After that I change the registry settings of edx on the CPUID settings under CPU Identification Mask( moving 1 to the left after two dashes) and this particular error is removed but after
that when I try to Power On I get another error which says "The processor does not support a required feature for this virtual machine. The virtual machine
can not be powered on"
"An unexpected error was received from the ESX host while powering on VM vm-39.
The processor does not support a required feature for this virtual machine. The virtual machine cannot be powered on"
I have a NFS file Share for the Centralized Storage.
My System has VT support enabled in the BIOS. What seems to be the problem? Anyone here use Dell Precision T5400 and were they able power on
virtual machines ? What features were they not able to use ? .
