I just purchased Fusion 5.02 without even going with trial nor testing Parallels first,
This is because I'd expect from VMWare as a leader in the virutalization world to produce the best thing ever, especially for end users which should be much simpler than building ESX stuff,

So light version doesn't download VMWare tools.
"Check for updates" causes the same error, which is:

Next thing is that I've installed Fedora 18 as a guest, I plugged my USB hard drive and chose

Next thing, I tried to install Ubuntu 12.10, of course it stuck in the middle, dropping during installation to a command line because VMWARE tools could not be installed (due to the download error mentioned above)
But even without the Easy Install flagged, it finished the installation, and after reboot I see Unity for a second and then it crashes.
Seriously, I checked with a friend, non of these issues happen with Parallels, after 30 minutes of usage, I have nothing good to say and I really expected a bit more than that from VMWare.
