Welcome to the Community,
uninstalling manually may be an option. However, take a look at e.g. http://jorgequestforknowledge.wordpress.com/2012/05/26/using-both-microsoft-hyper-v-and-vmware-workstation-on-the-same-machine/ to see how you could add a second boot option with Hyper-V disabled. This way you should be able to either run VMware Player if needed and/or uninstall it.
