Depu,

Do you consider some other tooling than VR? I have good experiences with Zerto Virtual Replication for DR and DC consolidation purposes.

Zerto does hypervisor based synchronization so is storage agnostic and is able to do near synchronous replication.

It is not a free product but sure has some advantages over vSphere Replication part of your vSphere license.

See this post at Zerto.com for a compare/differences between vSphere Replication and Zerto Virtual Replication.

I also wrote a blogposting in which I compared DR tools for vSphere: SRM, Zerto and VirtualSharp ReliableDR
