I would like to have Internet available on the VM's as they will need to have Windows Updates applied periodically.

Ok so following the information you posted I have done the folowing to my machines. The host has not changed.

Ethernet adapter VMware Network Adapter VMnet1:

   Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . :
   Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::d1ff:aced:3c49:9763%14
   IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.85.1
   Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
   Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :

Ethernet adapter VMware Network Adapter VMnet8:

   Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . :
   Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::e19d:669d:f0b5:fe02%16
   IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.75.1
   Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
   Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :

On the Windows 7 Utlimate vm I have set the Newtword Adapter type to NAT

On the Windows 7 Ultimate guest operating system i have put the following configuration

IP4Settings.png

With these settings I can connect to the internet, I can ping the VMnet1 adapter.

C:\Windows\System32>ping 192.168.75.1

On the Windows Server 2003 Enterprise vm I have set the Netword Type to NAT

On the Windows Server 2003 Enterprise guest operating system i have put the following configuration

So they should be able to communicate now as they are both on the same subnet correct?

However when I ping the Windows Server 2003 Entrprise vm from the Windows 7 Ultimate vm I get Destination Host unreachable.
