Re: Installing Mac OS X Server 10.6.3 on Fusion 4.1.4?

Hi, Darius--

Fusion begins the installation process properly, selecting the title "Mac OS X Server 10.6 64-bit" and a virtual default 40GB destination disk named "Macintosh HD"  and displays the blue progress bar beginning to time the procedure.  A few minutes into the installation process, the installer goes to an "Install Failed" page with the message "The installer could not copy the necessary support files."  I've tried the installation at least a dozen times; a couple of those times the error message was "ERROR_DOWNLOAD_FAILED".  I have tried increasing the virtual hard drive volume to as much as 75GB without any success.

As I've said, I'm trying to install a  new licensed copy (I removed the shrinkwrap) of Snow Leopard Server 10.6.3 into Fusion 4.1.4 on an Ivy Bridge mid-2012 13" MacBook Pro running OS X 10.8.2.  Since I can't load the server, I can't update it to the latest 10.6.8 version.
