Re: how can we know if esx with static ip is listen to DHCP server on nics?

Even though you configure a static IP address for the VMkernel (Management Network) the VM's are still sending DHCP requests through their vmnics/uplinks. There's nothing in ESXi which blocks such requests. If your DHCP server is configured properly and the network contains the required DHCP helper addresses (in case of multiple subnets) all your VM's should be able to get a DHCP address.
